Houston Power Grid Reality Check
Texas operates on its own isolated power grid (ERCOT). Unlike the rest of the country, Texas homes are not connected to neighboring state grids -- meaning when ERCOT struggles, there is no backup. Every Houston master-planned community buyer should understand their power risk and plan accordingly.
